Rheinmetall said it got an order worth 100 million euros ($114.4 million) from Germany's armed forces.
The German arms maker on Monday said the contract will provide Germany's military with additional hardware and support services aimed at digitizing their vehicle fleet as part of their digitization of land-based operations project.
With billions in potential funding, it is one of the German military's most important upgrades to date, it said.
The company said the contractor was ARGE IT-Systemintegration, a consortium made up of Rheinmetall Electronics and German defense technology company Blackned.
"Through the comprehensive digitalization of thousands of vehicles and command posts, the program lays the foundations for joint integrated, state-of-the-art command and control capabilities as well as for interoperability with NATO partners," the company said.
Rheinmetall shares are up 0.4% at 87.80 euros, and are down 37% in the year to date.
