Ruiz will assume the role of CEO of Eaton on June 1, 2025. He will succeed Craig Arnold, who will retire on May 31, 2025, upon reaching Eaton's mandatory retirement age of 65 for CEOs. Arnold has served as Chairman and CEO of Eaton since June 2016.   Additionally, effective June 1, 2025, Gregory R. Page will serve as Non-Executive Chairman of Eaton's board of directors. Paulo Ruiz, 49, has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Eaton's Industrial Sector since July 2022. In this role, he oversaw Eaton's Aerospace, Vehicle, Vehicle Electrification, Filtration, and Golf Pride businesses, as well as the company's operations in Asia-Pacific, Central America, and South America. Previously, Paulo led Eaton's Energy Solutions and Services business in the Americas and served as President of Eaton's Hydraulics Group. Before joining Eaton in 2019, Ruiz held various strategic roles globally at Siemens, including CEO of Siemens' Dresser-Rand business, and operational, commercial, and engineering positions at Fiat. Ruiz holds an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral Business School in Brazil and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from FEI in São Paulo, Brazil. He also completed the MBA Advanced Program at Fundação Dom Cabral's Kellogg School of Management and the Graduate Development Program at Isvor Fiat in Turin, Italy. During the transition period, Ruiz will continue to lead Eaton's Industrial Sector, while Heath Monesmith will remain in charge of Eaton's Electrical Sector.
