# Longbridge's fractional shares feature for U.S. stocks is officially launched.

### **Introduction to fractional shares**

US fractional share orders refer to orders where the trading quantity is not a whole share. In the US stock market, you can trade fractional shares—a share quantity containing decimals, which lowers the investment threshold and enables flexible investment.

### **Advantages of Longbridge fractional shares trading**

**Start investing in US stocks with just USD 1**

Many top US companies have high share prices, which can be a barrier for some investors. With fractional shares trading, you can invest in your favorite high-priced stocks with as little as USD 1.

**Build a more diversified investment portfolio**

Previously, with USD 100, you might only have been able to invest in one stock. Now, fractional shares trading allows you to diversify your portfolio by investing more high-quality stocks with limited funds.

### **Process of fractional share order submission**

**Step 1. Find stocks that support fractional shares trading.**

On the stock details page, a fractional share icon will be displayed on the right side of the quote. Alternatively, you can find stocks that support fractional shares trading through _Market_ \> _US_ \> _Rankings_.

**Step 2. Enter the fractional share quantity or trading amount to submit an order.**

First, select a stock that supports US fractional shares trading, click _Buy_ or _Sell_, and enter the fractional share quantity or trading amount. When you enter an amount, the system will automatically calculate and convert it into the corresponding number of shares based on the current stock price.

**Q1: Is there a price difference between US fractional shares and whole shares?**

US fractional shares have good liquidity. Generally, there is no difference between the fill price of fractional shares using market orders and that of whole-share stock orders.

**Q2: What are the trading hours for US fractional shares?**

Currently, it is only supported during US stock regular trading hours (9:30–16:00 ET).

**Q3: Does the US fractional shares trading feature support orders for more than 1 share?**

Yes, it supports orders for more than 1 share. For example, you can submit and fill an order for 1.5 shares.

**Q4: What types of orders do US fractional shares support? Can I modify my order after submitting it?**

US fractional shares support limit orders and market orders. Orders cannot be modified after submission.

**Q5: Does Longbridge support transfer of fractional shares?**

It is not supported for now.
