the feature i want most isn't a smarter screener or a prettier chart. it's an honest end-of-day recap. not the "market moved this much" summary, but the personal one: you bought memory on the dip and your thesis was right, but you sized too small. you held Tesla into the delivery print when the setup was clearly buy-the-rumor, here's why that pattern keeps costing you. no judgment, just the data. most investors never actually close the loop between their decisions and the outcomes, and that's why we keep making the same mistakes. the AI that fixes that is worth more than any screener ever built.

honestly my current investing day is embarrassing. i open 6 apps, read three contradicting headlines about the same stock, spend 20 minutes second-guessing myself, and then do nothing. my ideal version is almost insultingly simple: open one app, something that already knows my positions tells me the one thing i actually need to act on today, i make one decision, i close it. the gap between what investing tools promise and what they deliver is still massive. maybe that changes soon.

wake up, AI already prepped my morning brief. close the app, eat breakfast. that's it lah 🫡

i say "SK Hynix just listed +14%, what does this mean for my positions" and it shows me my cost basis, P&L impact and the analyst view, all in one reply. instead of me opening 5 pages and doing the math myself. whoever ships this first wins.

AI to lighten my load

This is what I like to see when I load my app:

I open my app and the screen loads to the portfolio summary and how it compares to the previous day.

A summary of the previous day events which might have impacted the market is shown as well as what are coming up that might affect the market.

A list of recommended actions are also given catered to my portfolio and why they are advised.

That will help lighten the load and ease my investment process.

What happens when I click on my investment app

The app loads and the first pop up is a warm greeting tailored to my liking sweet and simple with no fanfare.

The first data that comes up is a concise summary of how the portfolio did the previous day or compared to when I last viewed it along with what may have caused it to perform the way it did.

This is followed by a technical analysis summary of my holdings as well as a price action summary of the previous day and whether important supports have been breached.

The conclusion will be a nice breakdown of the percentages of the holdings in the portfolio vs cash and a risk management recommendation in view of the overall technicals as well as macroeconomics.

TLDR: The whole idea of AI is to simplify my thought process so as to enable me to focus on decision making.

But true wealth isn't built on noise. It is built on clarity.

If AI truly runs my investing journey, its most profound superpower should not be speaking more. It should be knowing exactly when to stay silent. My AI financial assistant should act as my ultimate silent sentinel: quietly scanning the global order books, digesting real time earnings misses and monitor market crosscurrents in the background, only breaking its silence when a genuine life changing opportunity aligns with my wealth goals.

Take for example this scenario:

Imagine it is 2pm on a Tuesday. The market is a sea of red, financial news anchors are panicking on screen and my mobile phone buzzes.

I brace myself for the usual market noise but instead my AI financial assistant sends me this single laser focused alert:

My dream isn’t an AI that simply recommends stocks. I want an AI that becomes my personal investment advisor—one that understands my portfolio, my risk tolerance, and my long-term goals better than anyone else.

Most importantly, I want an AI that learns from every trade I make. It should understand my mistakes, recognize my strengths, and coach me to become a better investor over time. Success isn’t about predicting every winner—it’s about consistently making smarter decisions and avoiding costly mistakes. That’s the AI partner I want by my side every day.

In an AI era where everyone is actively leveraging on the latest technology for accessibility, my imagination for the integration of AI into investing can be discussed through 3 points:

1. Personal Assistant - I believe majority of the people have a regular 9 to 5 job without having the time or energy to keep a close lookout for stocks information or to research a company's performance thoroughly. That's where AI steps in to act like a PA to help swiftly consolidate any information/news for us on the go. Brief review of our holdings after a session, breaking headlines and how they could affect us, or even the hottest momentum stocks that are surging. This info could be crucial for investors who lack the time & effort to do every minute detail by himself.

2. Acting on behalf through commands - Aside from investors, many traders, especially the amateurs who just started out, wish they have an AI/robot that could help them to carry out trades throughout the session without having them to glue themselves to the screen for hours. I imagine AI to eventually be able to do simple but accurate coding based on commands to be able to build a software to allow traders to key in their conditions and let AI do the work. Ofc this would require AI to be advanced and efficient.

3. Personalised Recommendations - I imagine AI to be able to understand me through my search & chat history, portfolio holdings as well as personality. This would then allow AI to know my risk tolerance, what kind of portfolio I want to build, and more importantly, providing insightful and personalised recommendations. Not just say memory sector is imploding right now, and you should invest early; I imagine AI to be able to give more than just surface information, but more of when and why I should enter a trade/investment into a certain sector or equity.

I am genuinely amazed at how efficient Longbridge is in improving its platform and is looking forward to the presentation on 15 July!

AI has already become part of my daily investing routine. Recently, I’ve been using open-source AI market analysis tools every evening to review the overall market, identify the strongest themes, and evaluate how my portfolio is performing. Instead of spending hours reading through news and charts, I can quickly get a structured summary and focus on the most important developments.

I also tried Longbridge‘s GPT integration, and the feature list looks very promising. It feels like we’re only at the beginning of what AI can do for investors.

The feature I would love to see most is an intelligent alert system. Rather than constantly screening the market myself, I want AI to automatically notify me whenever a stock meets the conditions I‘ve defined—whether it’s a technical breakout, unusual volume, a valuation opportunity, or a risk signal. That would help me discover opportunities earlier while avoiding potential pitfalls. AI shouldn‘t replace investment decisions, but it can become the best assistant for filtering information and helping investors react faster in an increasingly complex market.

My take is Netflix and Disney

My ideal "Day of an AI-Era Investor" is not about having an extra chatbot that can answer anything.

Instead, it's about every morning, when I open my investment app, the AI already knows:

Which changes from last night truly impacted my holdings;

What's most worth paying attention to today isn't the ten hottest news stories in the market, but the three things most relevant to my investment logic;

Which stock gains are just price fluctuations, and which changes might be shaking the very reasons I bought them in the first place.

During the trading session, when breaking news emerges, I don't want the AI to just summarize the news for me.

I'd rather it tell me:

Which companies does this affect?

Is the impact transmitted through revenue, costs, valuation, or market sentiment?

Does it change my original judgment?

If I need to act, am I executing a predetermined strategy, or am I being pushed by short-term volatility?

When I have a vague idea, like "Are AI infrastructure opportunities spreading from GPUs to networks, storage, and power?", the AI shouldn't immediately give me a stock ticker.

It should first help me turn the idea into a hypothesis, the hypothesis into verifiable questions, and then organize the candidate companies, key data, and opposing viewpoints. The final decision is still mine, but the research doesn't have to start from scratch every time.

After a trade, the AI shouldn't just tell me how much I made.

It should remember why I bought, what I expected to happen, and under what conditions I would prove myself wrong. After the market closes, it can remind me: did today's gains come from correct judgment, taking on more risk, or just from luck?

For me, the AI-era investment experience is not about "making decisions for the investor," but about making every decision have context, be recorded, verifiable, and reviewable.

A truly valuable AI shouldn't just be another page in a market data software.

It should become a long-term investment partner that understands my investment goals, continuously challenges my judgment, but always leaves the final decision to me.

Instead of simply telling me what happened, it should explain why it matters and what actions I may want to consider based on my own strategy.

Most importantly, I want AI to help me discover opportunities I might otherwise miss. Recommend sectors with improving momentum, highlight emerging themes before they become mainstream, and connect macro events to stocks that deserve attention. Save me hours of screening charts and reading endless reports, so I can spend more time making better decisions instead of searching for information. To me, that's what an AI-first investing experience should truly look like.
