Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) was founded in 1905 and is one of the world's largest consumer goods companies, marketing its products in more than 180 countries. As of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, the company was divided into three global business units: Beauty & Grooming, Household Care, and Gillette. According to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States, Procter & Gamble Company divides its business into seven segments: Beauty; Health Care; Fabric & Home Care; Snacks, Coffee & Pet Care; Baby Care & Family Care; Blades & Razors; and Braun & Duracell. In fiscal year 2007, sales in each product category accounted for more than 10% of total net sales, with laundry products accounting for about 16% of net sales for the year. The company's customers include mass merchandisers, grocery stores, membership stores and drug stores. Sales to Walmart and its affiliates accounted for approximately 15% of Procter & Gamble Company's total revenue in fiscal year 2007, with other customers accounting for less than 10%. The sales to the top 10 customers accounted for approximately 30% of total sales in fiscal year 2007. Beauty & Grooming includes retail and professional hair care, skin care, feminine care, cosmetics, fragrances, deodorants, and professional cleaning businesses. Health Care includes oral care, personal health care and pharmaceuticals. Household Care includes fabric care and home care, baby care and family care, and snacks, coffee and pet care. Gillette includes blades and razors, and Braun and Duracell businesses. The Blades & Razors division includes products for both men and women, while Braun & Duracell includes battery, electric shaver and small appliance businesses. The Braun brand includes electric shavers and small appliances.
