Zeekr reaches 200,000 EV delivery milestone

(Image credit: Zeekr) Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, delivered its 200,000th vehicle, marking a milestone in its history. Zeekr's 200,000th production vehicle, a Zeekr 007 electric sedan, was delivered to a customer at a delivery center in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on January 8, the company announced today. That's the first Zeekr 007 delivered in South China, 26 months since Zeekr's first production vehicle was delivered, it said. The electric sedan officially went on sale in China on December 27, and deliveries began on January 1. Zeekr delivered a record 13,476 vehicles in December, bringing full-year 2023 deliveries to 118,685 vehicles. By the end of 2023, Zeekr had delivered 196,633 vehicles since its inception, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. The milestone means that Zeekr has delivered 3,367 vehicles so far this month. Zeekr was officially founded as a separate company in March 2021, with its first model, the Zeekr 001, launched on April 15, 2021, and deliveries began in October 2021. On November 1, 2022, Zeekr's second model, the Zeekr 009 MPV, was launched and its deliveries began on January 15, 2023. On April 12, 2023, Zeekr launched its third model, the compact SUV Zeekr X, with deliveries beginning on June 12, 2023. On December 27, Zeekr officially launched the Zeekr 007 to target the mainstream EV market. Its previous three models on sale were aimed at niche markets. The Zeekr 007 comes standard with an 800 V electrical system and has a starting price of RMB 209,900 ($29,370). Based on Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture), the sedan is a mid-size sedan with length, width and height of 4,865 mm, 1,900 mm and 1,450 mm and a wheelbase of 2,928 mm. Zeekr debuted the Zeekr 007 on the first day of the Guangzhou auto show on November 17 and began pre-sales of it at a starting price of RMB 229,900 yuan. By the time of its official launch, the Zeekr 007 had garnered 51,569 pre-orders in 40 days, company CEO Andy An said at the model's launch event.
