Tesla fell nearly 3%, with options trading surging to 2.31 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 58.5%. Nearly 160,000 call options with a strike price of $230 and nearly 140,000 put options with a strike price of $225 were traded, both expiring on January 12.
NVIDIA rose nearly 1%, with options trading increasing to 1.76 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 56.1%. Nearly 120,000 call options with a strike price of $550 were traded.
Marathon Digital fell nearly 13%, with options trading more than doubling to 1.09 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 62.7%.
Abbvie fell nearly 1%, with options trading skyrocketing to nearly 900,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 98.7%! More than 130,000 call options with a strike price of $155 and $140, and more than 120,000 call options with a strike price of $150 and $160 were traded, all expiring on January 19.
Apple slightly declined, with options trading increasing to 850,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 65.1%. More than 100,000 call options with a strike price of $185 were traded.
Microsoft and Amazon both had options trading exceeding 700,000 contracts, with a focus on call options.
AMD slightly declined, with options trading reaching nearly 600,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 64.1%.
Citigroup and Coinbase both had options trading exceeding 400,000 contracts, also with a focus on call options.
Alibaba rose more than 1%, with options trading falling to less than 300,000 contracts, with a 50-50 ratio between call options and put options.
