TM ADR US, the world's largest automobile manufacturer, achieved a historic high in sales volume in 2023.
On Tuesday, TM ADR US announced that its global sales volume in 2023 (including Toyota and Hino) increased by 7.2% YoY, reaching a record-breaking 11.2 million units, maintaining its position as the global leader for the fourth consecutive year.
TM ADR US attributed this success to its record-breaking overseas sales of 8.9 million units.
Furthermore, the sales volume of TM ADR US vehicles, including the Toyota and Lexus brands, reached a historic high of 10.3 million units. Hybrid vehicles accounted for about one-third of the sales, while pure electric vehicles accounted for less than 1%.
In terms of production, global production increased by 8.6% YoY, also reaching a record-breaking 11.5 million units.
TM ADR US previously stated that due to strong market demand and the alleviation of semiconductor shortages, global sales in December increased by 10% YoY to 1 million units, while production increased by 7.7% to 906,500 units.
In comparison, Volkswagen Group's annual deliveries in 2023 increased by 12% YoY to 9.2 million units, ranking second globally.
