Taiwan Semiconductor rose by 42% in 2023 and continued to rise by 43% from 2024 to date, hitting new highs for two consecutive days with a more than 10% increase over the two days. In today's night session, it continued to rise by over 3.7%:

Buffett had already cleared out his position in Taiwan Semiconductor last year, missing out on its gains.
It is worth mentioning that the two semiconductor companies that announced their earnings report this morning both provided performance guidance below market expectations.
Broadcom fell by about 3% in the night session, with a year-on-year revenue growth of 34% to $11.961 billion, higher than the analysts' forecast of $11.8 billion. The adjusted net profit was $5.25 billion, also higher than the analysts' expectation of $5.01 billion. The adjusted earnings per share were $10.99, compared to the expected $10.30 per share.
For the entire fiscal year, Broadcom maintained a revenue guidance of around $50 billion, slightly below analysts' expectations. CEO Hock Tan stated during the earnings conference call that nearly one-fifth of the company's revenue in 2024 is expected to come from artificial intelligence.
Marvell Technology (MRVL) initially dropped by 9% after hours. The adjusted earnings per share for the fourth quarter were $0.46, meeting analysts' expectations; the net revenue for the fourth quarter was $1.43 billion, in line with analysts' forecast of $1.42 billion; the expected earnings per share for the first quarter are $0.18-$0.28, below analysts' expectation of $0.41; the projected net revenue for the first quarter is $1.15 billion, lower than analysts' forecast of $1.37 billion; the board authorized a $3 billion stock buyback.
