Andrew Conway, Microsoft's Vice President of Security Marketing, explained that the demand for computing resources (or &#34;security compute units&#34;) varies significantly based on customer needs and workloads. This flexible pricing model allows customers to control costs according to their requirements and usage, avoiding potential waste from fixed fees.
Additionally, Microsoft's Vice President, Vasu Jakkal, revealed that the preview version of this security chatbot was released in March last year for testing. The pricing strategy was determined based on early customer feedback and the costs associated with using OpenAI's large language model to process user requests.
