TechInsights: Global smartphone wholesale ASP reaches a new high in 2023, expected to continue growing in the next five years

According to the report from TechInsights, it is expected that the average wholesale selling price of smartphones globally will continue to rise in the next five years. In 2024, 17 countries/regions are projected to reach the highest ever average selling price of smartphones, including South Korea. The United Kingdom is expected to surpass the United States in 2024, becoming the third. TechInsights predicts that Apple will not have any major innovations in 2024, which may lead to a decrease in sales volume and average selling price. TechInsights believes that with the launch of Apple's foldable iPhone in the coming years, the United States will reclaim the third position from the United Kingdom. The top three countries in terms of wholesale revenue for smartphones are China, the United States, and India. Despite ranking 71st in average selling price, India ranks third in smartphone revenue due to the huge sales volume of smartphones
