ZEEKR, which has always been fond of exploring niche markets, is once again &#34;transforming&#34; the MPV market.
On April 25th, at the 2024 Beijing International Auto Show, ZEEKR's MIX, known in the industry as &#34;Baby Bus,&#34; made its debut. This is ZEEKR's fifth model and its second MPV product.
Unlike the business style of its &#34;big brother&#34; 009, MIX is uniquely designed for the young family market and quickly became the center of attention once unveiled. When Zhou Hongyi, the chairman of 360, visited, he commented, &#34;The design of this car is very creative. It can be used for card games, camping, and hot pot. It should be called the 'Card Game Car'.&#34;
The biggest highlight of ZEEKR MIX lies in its extremely unique design with no B-pillar and a gullwing door style, resembling an &#34;enlarged version&#34; of a Rolls-Royce, making it unparalleled in the MPV industry.
Similar to XPeng X9, ZEEKR MIX was initially designed with various spatial scenarios in mind. Despite being less than 4.7 meters in length, it has a wheelbase of over 3 meters, aiming to seize the space perception of mid-to-large SUVs in the MPV segment.
It is reported that this car is the world's first mass-produced car where both the driver and front passenger seats can rotate, allowing four people to sit facing each other. It comes with an expandable table that can transform into a dining area, allowing activities like playing poker or mahjong in the car. When the panoramic mode is activated, the cabin can turn into a mobile balcony for enjoying the scenery. The &#34;Baby Mode&#34; can transform the cabin into a large children's room. Additionally, ZEEKR MIX claims to support over 20 different scene modes.
It is evident that ZEEKR MIX caters extensively to the needs of family users, creating a new car that disrupts the MPV and even SUV segments. Moreover, it is equipped with high-end features such as an 800V high-voltage platform, LiDAR, and advanced NZP intelligent driving system.
The biggest suspense lies in its pricing. Market analysts believe that it will become a strong competitor in the mid-to-high-end family market against models like Li Auto L8, L9, and XPeng X9.
It is worth mentioning that in order to create this high &#34;room rate&#34; model, ZEEKR invested 7 billion RMB to &#34;transform&#34; the vast architecture and introduced the new &#34;Vast-M&#34; architecture. ZEEKR stated that although the new energy era has completely revolutionized power, spatial forms still remain in the fuel era. The new architecture has increased the space utilization rate inside the cabin from the industry average of 70% to over 80%.
Such a new architecture will undoubtedly be widely reused within ZEEKR and even the Geely Group, showcasing ZEEKR's ambitions in the family market
