According to the South Korean newspaper, Daily Economic News, Samsung Electronics plans to showcase its latest 3nm technology chip, Exynos W1000, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris in July. This technology will be first applied to the next-generation Galaxy series smartwatch, Galaxy Watch7, and the high-end smartphone, Galaxy S25.
This move signifies Samsung's direct challenge to Apple and TSMC in the core technology field of smart devices, with the intention of taking a leading position in the global market.
Samsung's new 3nm process technology is expected to improve chip performance and energy efficiency by over 20%, making the Galaxy Watch7 one of the most powerful smartwatches on the market, competing fiercely with Apple's Apple Watch Series 9.
Samsung will also showcase the new foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, which will feature the latest artificial intelligence functions such as real-time translation and in-circle search services, and will adopt the no-fold screen technology.
At this event, Samsung will also launch the new wearable device, Galaxy Ring, a biometric health checker that can continuously monitor heart and other health conditions for up to 9 days.
Furthermore, Samsung plans to equip at least 100 million flagship Galaxy series smartphones with various artificial intelligence functions by the end of the year, including real-time call translation and circle search functions in collaboration with Google
