According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, Canalys stated in a report that in the first quarter of 2024, the global True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphone market showed a steady growth trend, with shipments reaching 65 million, a 6% year-on-year increase. Despite Apple (AAPL.US) gradually losing market share with an 8% year-on-year decline in shipments, it still maintained the top spot with 16 million shipments, holding a 24% market share. This indicates that Apple still has strong competitiveness and brand influence in the TWS market. Xiaomi (01810) surpassed Samsung for the first time with outstanding performance, rising to second place with 5.5 million shipments, a 61% year-on-year growth. Xiaomi is experiencing rapid growth in the TWS market.
Samsung ranked third with 5.2 million shipments. Although Samsung's growth rate is relatively moderate, its influence in the global market remains significant. As the only Indian manufacturer in the top five, boAt maintained fourth place with a 7% growth and 2.9 million shipments. The demand for TWS products in the Indian market is still increasing, and boAt is expected to further expand its market share in the future. Huawei climbed to fifth place with 2.2 million shipments by strategically focusing on entry-level products and launching open-ear headphones. Huawei's competitiveness in the TWS market is gradually improving, with potential to challenge other manufacturers' market positions in the future.
