The G-Flow immersion liquid cooling solution released by Intel this time integrates innovative design and high energy efficiency, covering innovative immersion liquid cooling cabinets and their corresponding liquid-cooled server heat dissipation solutions. This solution adopts a novel immersion system design that significantly increases the flow rate of cooling liquid through CPU or GPU heat sinks without additional energy consumption. This optimized fluid management not only achieves efficient forced convection heat transfer but also significantly improves the efficiency of cooling media and system heat dissipation. Based on this, a greener and lower-cost synthetic oil is also expected to be used as a cooling medium to solve kilowatt-level heat dissipation issues, further reducing the operating costs and environmental impact of data centers. Moreover, this technology introduces innovative interposer board design to effectively solve the decoupling problem between immersion liquid cooling cabinets and server designs faced by customers, meeting customers' demands for overall system flexibility and compatibility. This technology can meet the heat dissipation requirements of products including Intel Xeon 6 and Intel Gaudi AI accelerator, providing customers with more cooling solutions, better PUE, and lower TCO.
To jointly build a leading data center liquid cooling ecosystem with the industry chain and accelerate its move towards a sustainable, low-carbon future, Intel China has launched the Data Center Liquid Cooling Innovation Acceleration Program. In this program, Intel has collaborated with a wide range of ecosystem partners including immersion liquid cooling solution manufacturers Green Cloud Map and Luxshare Technology, server OEMs, ODMs, and synthetic oil cooling liquid suppliers to jointly develop prototypes based on the G-Flow immersion liquid cooling solution. After rigorous testing, these prototypes have demonstrated outstanding heat dissipation performance required for high-performance processors.
