
Honda's "Survival by Cutting Off One's Arm"

Honda Motor announced that it will close and halt production at two fuel vehicle factories in China, shifting towards electric vehicle production. This is the first production cut by Honda since entering the Chinese market in 1990, and the largest scale reduction by Japanese automakers to date. Honda's sales in China have declined for three consecutive years, with a 21.5% decrease in the first half of this year.
