Overnight, US stocks fell, with the three major US stock indexes plummeting due to concerns about economic recession and geopolitical tensions.
On Friday, the Asia-Pacific stock markets followed the decline of US stocks, with the Nikkei 225 index opening down more than 4% and the TOPIX index also expanding its decline to 4%.
The MSCI Asia-Pacific Index widened its decline to 1%.
South Korea's KOSPI index fell by 2.53%.
Australia's S&amp;P/ASX index extended its decline to 2%
