Prudential: Appoints former Citi executive Wu Yanyi as Executive Vice President for Greater China, Clients, and Wealth Management

Prudential announced the appointment of former Citi executive Wu Yanyi as the Executive Vice President of Prudential Greater China, Customer, and Wealth Management Region, replacing Group Chief Strategy Officer Wu Lixian, who is set to retire at the end of this year. Prudential stated that Wu Yanyi will serve as the regional executive vice president, overseeing the group's operations in Greater China, customer, and wealth management businesses. She will join the Group Executive Committee, be based in Hong Kong, report to CEO Hua Kangyao, and her appointment will take effect on October 1. Wu Lixian will remain in office until the end of the year for a smooth transition; thereafter, she will serve as an executive vice president advisor until June next year. Records show that Wu Yanyi previously worked at Citi for 26 years, serving as the first Chinese female CEO of Citi Hong Kong before leaving. Prior to her departure, she was in charge of Citi's North Asia and Australia region and banking business. Citi announced Wu Yanyi's retirement in early April this year
