Zhou Hongyi resigns! QFIN-S Chairman changes, its product "360 Jietiao" just completed an upgrade

On August 14th, Qifu Tech (NASDAQ: QFIN, HKEX: 3660) announced that Zhou Hongyi resigned as the Chairman of the Board and director of the company due to personal reasons, and is no longer a member of the board. The board of directors of Qifu Tech has approved the appointment of Zhao Fan as the Chairman of the Board and Liu Xiangge as an independent director of the board, effective from August 13, 2024. Public information shows that Zhou Hongyi is the founder, chairman, and CEO of 360 Company. It is understood that Qifu Tech has been seeking independence in its strategic and operational aspects. Qifu Tech, formerly known as 360 Finance, officially operated independently in June 2018, and was listed in the US in December of the same year, followed by a secondary listing in Hong Kong in November 2022. On August 8, 2020, 360 Finance officially announced a brand upgrade and adopted "Qifu Tech" as its new brand. On the evening of February 14, 2023, Qifu Tech announced a rebranding to Qifu Tech, stating that it will fully focus on financial technology strategies to help financial institutions achieve digital transformation. A Qifu Tech spokesperson responded to reporters at that time, saying, "Although the company's name originates from 360, the two are completely different in business positioning and are independent of each other. 360 focuses on digital security, while after the name change to Qifu Tech, it will deepen its presence in the financial technology service market, highlighting the company's determination to independently develop financial technology strategies." On August 2nd this year, Qifu Tech announced the upgrade of its core product "360 Jietiao" to "Qifu Jietiao". In the near future, Qifu Jietiao will run parallel with 360 Jietiao to meet users' phased needs. Currently, the product has established close partnerships with 160 financial institutions nationwide, accumulated over 247.6 million registered users, and provided credit support exceeding 2 trillion yuan
