
Canalys: Global smartphone market shipments reached 288.9 million units in the second quarter, achieving double-digit growth

Canalys stated in a report that in the second quarter of 2024, the global smartphone market once again achieved double-digit growth, with shipments reaching 288.9 million units. Driven by product innovation and improved business conditions, the global smartphone market has been growing positively for three consecutive quarters. Despite only a 1% growth, Samsung continues to solidify its first position with shipments reaching 53.5 million units. Its high-end product line continues to drive growth in shipment value, while the A series products ensure overall shipment scale through 5G differentiation. Apple maintained its second position with strong momentum in North America and Asia Pacific, shipping 45.6 million units.
