Professor Deng Hongkui from Peking University successfully cured a 14-year-old type 1 diabetes patient with stem cell therapy. The phase 2 study led by Professor Zhu Dalong from Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, which is globally leading in biased GLP-1 diabetes research, has shown significant effectiveness of exenatide in lowering HbA1c levels and weight.
