The &#34;ESG Outstanding Awards&#34; is an international corporate award with ESG rating certification, based on the Dun &amp; Bradstreet ESG Sustainability Mark TM (D&amp;B ESG Registered) corporate data, along with multiple leading ESG standards for scoring reference. The selection criteria cover environmental, social, governance, and sustainable development planning.

In his speech, Chan Pak-lai pointed out that sustainable development is a global trend, and many enterprises and economies are striving to promote and participate in sustainable development in environmental, social, and corporate aspects. A stable and safe environment, along with a harmonious society, is one of the reasons many enterprises choose to develop in Hong Kong
Entrepreneurs in Hong Kong have an international perspective and a high sense of social responsibility. To achieve the carbon neutrality goal by 2050, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government will assist enterprises in making supporting arrangements to more efficiently advance various undertakings.
Hong Kong's ESG Asset Management Scale Exceeds HKD 1.3 Trillion
In his speech, Chen Haolian stated that as of June this year, there are over 230 ESG funds approved by the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong, with an asset management scale exceeding HKD 1.3 trillion. The number of funds and the asset management scale have increased by 19% and 8% year-on-year, respectively. As for the total amount of green and sustainable debt issued in Hong Kong in 2023, it exceeds USD 50 billion, with the total amount of green and sustainable bonds arranged for issuance in Hong Kong ranking first in the Asian market, accounting for 37% of the total. Since May 2019, the government has successfully issued approximately HKD 220 billion worth of official green bonds under the &#34;Government Green Bond Programme&#34; to fund various categories of green projects, covering energy efficiency, pollution prevention and control, wastewater management, nature conservation, green buildings, and climate change adaptation. These initiatives not only provide important market benchmarks for potential issuers in Hong Kong and the region but also set multiple issuance breakthroughs.

Zheng Yanhua, Chen Yixian, and others hope to recognize the contributions of companies across various industries in ESG sustainable development through the &#34;ESG Outstanding Award.&#34; They also hope to use the awards as a bridge to build a platform for more communication between the government and the business community. They pointed out that the more than ten companies recognized this time have achieved outstanding results in the ESG field, disclosing sufficient and transparent ESG information in the rigorous and professional Dun &amp; Bradstreet scoring system and through careful selection by the judging panel, demonstrating extraordinary commitment and strength.
