According to reports, Apple plans to announce these significant improvements to Siri as early as 2025, as part of the software updates for iOS 19 and macOS 16, which will be released next year. Internally, Apple has named the updates for iOS and macOS Luck and Cheer, respectively. However, similar to the Apple Intelligence released in September this year, the new Siri features will not be immediately incorporated into hardware devices launching next year. According to the reports, Apple currently plans to release the new version of Siri to consumers as early as spring 2026, which is about a year and a half from now. Apple's spokesperson declined to comment on the reports. If true, this would be the latest sign of Apple's efforts to advance AI functionality, marking a significant overhaul of Siri following its integration with ChatGPT.
