
TrendForce: In the third quarter, global NAND Flash revenue increased by 4.8% compared to the previous quarter, driven by strong demand for enterprise SSDs

According to TrendForce's survey, global NAND Flash industry revenue reached USD 17.6 billion in the third quarter of 2024, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 4.8%. Despite a 2% decrease in shipment volume, the average selling price rose by 7%. Demand for enterprise SSDs is strong, with prices increasing nearly 15% quarter-on-quarter. However, orders for consumer SSDs and products for smartphones have declined, leading to an expected quarter-on-quarter revenue decrease of nearly 10% in the fourth quarter. Samsung and SK Group performed differently in the third quarter, with the former maintaining stable revenue while the latter experienced a decline in shipment volume due to weak demand
