Yesterday still guessing, today the media confirms that Google is going to launch smart glasses?
On December 12 local time, the Financial Times reported that Google plans to collaborate with Samsung to launch new smart glasses and VR headsets, aiming to lead in the &#34;next generation of computing&#34; over Meta and Apple.
Next year, Google and Samsung will jointly develop and launch the first device based on Google's new version of the Android operating system called &#34;Project Moohan,&#34; which is named Android XR and is customized for headsets and smart glasses. Google describes it as &#34;next generation computing.&#34;
This week, Google showcased an updated version of its Project Astra prototype, a system designed for smartphones and smart glasses that allows users to ask questions to the system and understand what the camera sees. This system is powered by Google's new version of the Gemini AI platform. Yesterday, Google stated in a blog post:

According to media reports citing informed sources, Samsung's headset offers high-fidelity display and user experience similar to Vision Pro, but will be priced &#34;significantly&#34; lower than Apple's Vision Pro at $3,500.
Currently, it has been 10 months since Apple launched the Vision Pro headset. Although the Vision Pro is a bold and novel product, its high price has resulted in estimated sales of only several hundred thousand units.
On the other hand, Meta's collaboration with eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica to launch Ray-Ban smart glasses has unexpectedly become a bestseller. This device combines a camera with a virtual audio assistant, featuring a lightweight frame that is relatively comfortable to wear
