On December 13, Tesla's official website in China launched a brand new in-car feature—Advanced Smart Summon.
This feature is applicable to Tesla vehicles equipped with EAP or FSD.
Tesla owners can operate the vehicle through the Tesla app on their mobile phones, allowing the vehicle to automatically drive out of a parking space and come to the owner's side or to a location specified by the owner on their phone. The vehicle must remain within the owner's line of sight during the movement. It is reported that this feature will be pushed to owners through OTA remote software updates in the future.
According to Zhito Finance APP, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) has significantly enhanced its research team in China this year, particularly in the field of autonomous driving technology, by adding hundreds of new employees to achieve this goal.
According to informed sources, by the end of this year, NVIDIA's total number of employees in China is expected to increase from about 3,000 at the beginning of 2024 to about 4,000, with approximately 200 new employees added in the Beijing area to strengthen autonomous driving research. In addition, the company has also expanded its after-sales service and network software development teams, reflecting its comprehensive expansion strategy in China.
The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology's Policy and Economic Research Institute and the Artificial Intelligence and Economic Society Research Center recently jointly released a special report titled &#34;Autonomous Driving Strategy and Policy Observation—Policies and Regulations Assist in Accelerating the Industrialization of Highly Autonomous Driving.&#34;
The report suggests that the application of autonomous driving scenarios has entered a period of in-depth cultivation.
The report believes that with the rapid evolution of technologies such as artificial intelligence, large models, and information communication, autonomous driving is accelerating the construction of a scaled application and breakthrough industrial pattern in business models. Leading autonomous driving companies such as Waymo, Baidu, Pony.ai, New Stone Technology, and Mercedes-Benz are accelerating the deep exploration of scenario demands, iterating and upgrading technology applications and guarantee capabilities, pushing highly autonomous driving into the fast lane of industrialization.
