The factory has begun trial production and is expected to enter full production in the first quarter of next year.
India is becoming an important node in Apple's manufacturing network, thanks to the policy support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a rich pool of skilled labor, and continuously improving technological capabilities.

Apple is the world's largest manufacturer of true wireless stereo devices. According to Canalys, it shipped 16.8 million units of these devices in the second quarter, capturing 22% of the market share.

Last year, Apple's partner Jabil Inc. began producing AirPods cases in India, exporting them to China and Vietnam. Next year, more AirPods assembled in India are expected to be exported to global markets
