
Tesla may surpass Ford to become the brand with the most vehicle recalls in the U.S. this year
According to the recall ranking of the U.S. automotive industry for 2024 compiled by Carscoops, Tesla has surpassed Ford to become the automotive brand with the highest number of recalled vehicles for the year. Previously, Ford had been the automaker with the most severe recall situation in the U.S. for three consecutive years. According to the statistics, Tesla issued 15 recalls this year, far fewer than Stellantis's 67 and Ford's 62. In terms of total recalled vehicles, Tesla has recalled a total of 5,135,697 vehicles, some of which can be fixed through OTA updates, surpassing Stellantis's 4,722,452 and Ford's 4,370,701. Additionally, Honda ranks fourth with 18 recalls and 3.8 million affected vehicles, while General Motors ranks fifth with 33 recalls and 1.9 million affected vehicles.
