He aims to revitalize the automotive manufacturing industry by rescinding the Biden administration's electric vehicle policies and bringing car manufacturing back to the U.S. at a "speed no one can imagine." He did not mention imposing tariffs on any other countries, stating that he would establish an external tax bureau responsible for tariffs and immediately reform the trade system comprehensively. He reiterated that the Gulf of Mexico will be renamed the Gulf of America and promised to reclaim the Panama Canal. He plans to plant the American flag on Mars. The White House stated that Trump will withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement but did not provide a timeline for the withdrawal
