Pence said at the artificial intelligence summit:

Intel was once a global leader in the semiconductor industry, but in recent years, its market share has been eroded by competitors, and it is in urgent need of performance improvement. Last year, the company's stock price plummeted by 60%, while competitors Nvidia and Broadcom saw significant increases due to soaring demand for artificial intelligence processors.
Last month, Intel reported a decline in revenue for three consecutive quarters and issued disappointing financial forecasts.
