
China Charging Alliance: The increase in charging infrastructure in January was 395,000 units, with a charger-to-vehicle ratio of 1:2

The China Charging Alliance released the operational status of national electric vehicle charging and swapping infrastructure for January 2025. In January, the increase in charging infrastructure was 395,000 units, with new energy vehicle sales reaching 793,000 units, resulting in a charging pile-to-vehicle ratio of 1:2, which basically meets the development needs of new energy vehicles. The number of public charging piles increased by 181,000 units compared to December 2024, a year-on-year growth of 35.1%. As of January, the total number of public charging piles reached 3.76 million units, with charging electricity amounting to approximately 6 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 42.1%. The main charging electricity is concentrated in provinces such as Guangdong and Jiangsu
