Recently, Ping An Life Insurance Company of China, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as &#34;Ping An Life&#34; or &#34;the Company&#34;) announced that, after deliberation by the Company's board of directors, it has elected Executive Director and Deputy General Manager Cai Ting to concurrently serve as the Company's Vice Chairman; Deputy General Manager Shi Weiyu is proposed to be appointed as the Company's General Manager. The above-mentioned personnel changes will take effect after the relevant corporate governance procedures or regulatory processes are completed.
According to information, Cai Ting joined Ping An in 2014 and has held various positions including Project Manager in the Chief Innovation Officer's Office of Ping An Group, Research Assistant/Senior Project Manager in the Strategic Development Center of Ping An Group, Deputy General Manager (acting) of the Employee Service Department of Ping An Group, General Manager of the Human Resources Department of Ping An Bank, Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Ping An Group, Special Assistant to the Chairman of Ping An Life, and Assistant to the General Manager of Ping An Life. Cai Ting currently serves as Executive Director and Deputy General Manager of Ping An Life.
Shi Weiyu has been with Ping An since 1999, holding positions such as Employee in the Marketing Management Department of the Jinan Branch of Ping An Life, Employee in the Marketing Department of the Headquarters of Ping An Life, Head of the Business Management Office of the Marketing Supervision Department of the Central and Western Region Division of Ping An Life, Director of the Comprehensive Management Office of the Marketing Department of the Central and Western Region Division of Ping An Life, Sales Manager/Deputy General Manager of the Jiangxi Branch of Ping An Life, Senior Project Manager in the Strategic Development Center of Ping An Group, Project Director of the New Channels Division of Ping An Life, Director of the Customer Management Department of the Internet Business Group of Ping An Life, and Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of the Customer Service Department at the Headquarters of Ping An Life. Shi Weiyu currently serves as Deputy General Manager of Ping An Life.
Ping An Life stated that both Cai Ting and Shi Weiyu are outstanding composite management talents cultivated by Ping An. Cai Ting is young and energetic, with a broad vision and rich management experience, possessing professional management capabilities across multiple business lines.
Shi Weiyu has management experience across various positions in both front and back offices, with strong innovation awareness and execution ability.
Ping An Life indicated that this adjustment will further improve the corporate governance structure, strengthen the leadership team, deepen the reform and transformation of life insurance, and promote the Company’s steady progress towards high-quality development.
Data shows that Ping An Life achieved original insurance contract premium income of 502.877 billion yuan in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%
