NIO is reported to lay off 10%
Last week, Nio made various adjustments to its workforce, including layoffs in departments such as UR Fellow, PT Energy, NIO House operations, and after-sales stores, offering compensation and job relocation options. The focus of this layoff plan is not only on the sales team but also targets the service sector, which has always been highly valued internally, involving after-sales service departments such as UR Fellow, NIO House, and after-sales stores. Several informed employees indicated that the layoff ratio should be around 10%, with some regional variations. The UR Fellow team in Shanghai has a total of about 80 people, with 7 to 8 being laid off, resulting in a layoff ratio of 10%, while the layoff ratio for the UR Fellow team in Shenzhen reached 50%. Some of the laid-off employees have already joined Xiaomi Auto, which is currently building user services. Nio employees stated that the layoff process was very swift, with some employees accepting the n+1 compensation plan completing their handover just 20 minutes after being notified
