
Samsonite's profit fell by about 13% last year

Samsonite reported a profit of USD 346 million last year, a decrease of approximately 13% year-on-year. Adjusted profit was USD 370 million, down about 6%. The dividend per share was approximately 10.26 cents, with the payout ratio increasing to 43.4%. Net sales were USD 3.59 billion, a decrease of 2.5%. Weak consumer sentiment in major markets led to reduced spending on high-end and luxury brands, a decline in retail customer traffic, and increased discount promotions from competitors. Net sales in the Asian and North American markets decreased by 3.6% and 1.2%, respectively, while Europe and Latin America saw increases of 3.1% and 17%, respectively
