Meituan Earnings Preview: Fourth Quarter Profits May Surge
Jin Shi Data reported on March 21 that Meituan (03690.HK) plans to announce its fourth-quarter results on Friday. According to the consensus estimates from analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha, the Chinese food delivery company is expected to report a net profit of RMB 7.94 billion for the fourth quarter, equivalent to USD 1.1 billion. This would be more than three times the net profit of RMB 2.22 billion for the same period last year. Revenue is estimated to be RMB 87.77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19%. Meituan (03690.HK) has risen nearly 10% so far this year, with its revenue showing resilience in recent quarters
