People's Bank of China: In 2024, a total of 61.8831 billion yuan will be collected in deposit insurance premiums

The People's Bank of China released the income and expenditure situation of the deposit insurance fund for 2024. By the end of 2024, there were a total of 3,761 banking financial institutions participating in deposit insurance nationwide. In 2024, a total of 61.8831 billion yuan in premiums was collected, with fund interest income of 1.2374 billion yuan, dividend distribution of 227.6 million yuan, and recovery of bad asset collections amounting to 365.8 million yuan. To promote the resolution of financial risks, 68.2886 billion yuan of the deposit insurance fund was used for risk disposal. The 6.6 billion yuan equity contribution of Inner Mongolia Merchants Bank was adjusted from the capital of the deposit insurance company to the deposit insurance fund. By the end of 2024, the deposit balance of the deposit insurance fund was 69.8424 billion yuan
