Counterpoint Research: In the fourth quarter of 2024, global smartphone shipments reached 323 million units, with revenue increasing by 5% year-on-year under the trend of premiumization

Recently, Counterpoint Research released the "Q4 2024 Market Monitoring Report." The global smartphone market performed steadily in Q4 2024, with shipments reaching 323 million units; benefiting from the trend towards high-end models (consumers are more inclined towards high-end devices), global smartphone revenue grew by 5% year-on-year; supported by stable high-end demand, the average selling price (ASP) of global smartphones increased by 2% year-on-year in the quarter. Apple led the global smartphone market in Q4 2024 with a 23% market share, while Samsung ranked second with a 16% share; Apple's ASP reached a record high for the quarter, capturing 54% of the total global smartphone revenue; vivo and Xiaomi achieved year-on-year revenue growth of 20% and 11%, respectively, making them the only two companies among the top five manufacturers to show significant growth
