Market research firm CounterPoint Research released a report yesterday on the material costs of the iPhone 16e, stating that the proportion of Apple's own components has reached a record high of 40%. The proportion of internal proprietary components in the iPhone 16 is 29%, while components from other suppliers account for 71%; in the 2022 iPhone SE, these proportions were 31% and 69%, respectively. The report pointed out that the internal proprietary components of the iPhone 16e have reached a new high, mainly due to the self-developed C1 chip, transceiver, and power management integrated circuit chip, etc. After switching to Apple's self-developed 5G chip, the cost per iPhone has decreased by $10 compared to Qualcomm's supplier solution
