According to reports from the Italian Broadcasting Corporation, the United States and Iran concluded the second round of indirect talks in Rome, Italy, on the 19th and will continue the dialogue in the coming days. The report stated that the overall atmosphere of the second round of indirect talks between the U.S. and Iran was "constructive," and both sides indicated that a third round of talks would take place next week. It was reported that this round of talks maintained the indirect format of the first round. The representatives for both sides remained U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs Robert Malley and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The talks took place at the Omani Embassy in Italy, with U.S. and Iranian representatives in separate rooms, and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood al-Busaidi acting as an intermediary to convey messages between the two.
