"European Stocks" UK market closed for holiday, German and French stock indices show divergent trends
Investors are looking forward to the latest economic data and corporate earnings to be released this week. The UK FTSE 100 index is closed for the holiday, while the German and French stock indices showed mixed trends.
The German DAX index rose by 198 points or 0.9%, closing at 23,284 points. The French CAC 40 index fell by 45 points or 0.6%, closing at 7,725 points.
Several large companies, including Novo Nordisk, BMW, A.P. Moller - Maersk, and Deutsche Bank, will announce their earnings in the coming days
