As it expands its copper business, gold giant Barrick changes its name to Barrick Mining
Barrick Gold Corporation announced on May 6 local time that, after receiving shareholder approval, the company has officially changed its name to "Barrick Mining Company." In conjunction with the name change, the ticker symbol for its common stock listed on the New York Stock Exchange will be changed to "B," effective from the start of trading on May 9
