Volvo has launched a new hybrid architecture, SMA, with the first model, XC70, set to be released in September
On May 7th, Volvo Cars launched the all-new hybrid architecture SMA. This architecture will run parallel to Volvo's pure electric architecture SPA2, driving Volvo's electrification transformation with a dual power mode. The SMA architecture models cover sizes from mid-size to large vehicles, with power combinations including two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The first hybrid model based on the SMA architecture, the XC70, will be launched in September, positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, with a pure electric range exceeding 200 kilometers under CLTC standard conditions, and the price is expected to be between 400,000 to 500,000 yuan
