Li Auto officially launches updated L-series EREVs with unchanged prices

Image credit: Li Auto) Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has officially launched the L-Series extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models, which are priced as before but bring upgraded features. The L-series EREVs include the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8 and Li L9, all of which are SUVs (sport utility vehicles). The Li L6 continues to be offered in two variants -- Pro and Max, with starting prices of RMB 249,800 ($34,530) and RMB 279,800 respectively. The Li L7 continues to be offered in three variants -- Pro, Max and Ultra, with starting prices of RMB 301,800, RMB 329,800 and RMB 359,800 respectively. The Li L8 continues to be offered in three variants -- Pro, Max and Ultra with starting prices of RMB 321,800, RMB 349,800 and RMB 379,800 respectively. The Li L9 continues to be offered in two variants -- Pro and Ultra, with a starting price of RMB 409,800 and RMB 439,800 respectively. These updated models are already available at Li Auto's showrooms and deliveries are set begin next week. The upgrades are mainly in the assisted driving, cabin, chassis, exterior. They start to come with standard LiDARs. The updated L-series has an ATL LiDAR from Hesai Technology, which is 60 percent smaller and has a maximum detection range of 200 meters. The Pro variants are powered by Horizon Robotics' Journey 6M smart driving chip, while the Max and Ultra variants are powered by the Nvidia Thor-U chip. In addition to the L-series, Li Auto also has another model, the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle). On April 23, Li Auto launched the updated Li Mega Ultra on the first day of the Shanghai auto show, with a starting price of RMB 529,800, in line with its predecessor. Li Auto also additionally launched a new special edition at that time, the Li Mega Home, with a starting price of RMB 559,800. Li Auto delivered 33,939 vehicles in April, up 31.61 percent from 25,787 in the same month last year, but down 7.46 percent from 36,674 in March. So far this year, Li Auto has delivered 126,803 vehicles, up 19.41 percent from a year ago. ($1 = RMB 7.2353) Li Auto aims to sell 700,000 cars in 2025, report says Li Auto's sales target for this year is 700,000 vehicles, representing about 40 percent growth, according to local media.
