United Airlines CEO assures passengers: Newark Airport is safe
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby told customers in an email on Monday that it is "absolutely safe" to travel in and out of Newark Liberty International Airport. This comes after two weeks of issues related to technology and air traffic control staffing that have plagued the New Jersey hub. The Federal Aviation Administration is working to resolve these issues, but Kirby stated in the email that there are proper procedures in place to ensure flight safety during this time
