This indicates that the easing of trade tensions between the world's two largest economies following the Geneva negotiations last weekend has had an immediate impact on business activities. According to reports last month, Tesla suspended its component shipping plan after U.S. President Donald Trump raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 145%, a move that could disrupt Tesla's plans to launch mass production of two highly anticipated models. The trade truce agreement shows that both China and the U.S. have agreed to eliminate most tariffs and other countermeasures. However, the source pointed out that given the unpredictability of the Trump administration's policies, the current situation still has uncertainties. Tesla has not immediately responded to requests for comment. Previously, Tesla planned to begin trial production of these two models in October and achieve mass production by 2026. The Cybercab will be produced in Texas, while the Semi truck will be manufactured in Nevada. Tesla has been seeking state government approval for a batch of Cybercab autonomous taxis without steering wheels and pedals to launch Robotaxi services. The company unveiled this concept model last October and promised to start mass production before 2026, with a price tag of under $30,000.
