A key Democratic environmental senator in the United States wants to understand the climate impact of the artificial intelligence (AI) data center that Meta Platforms, owned by Zuckerberg, is investing billions of dollars to build in northeastern Louisiana. Meta is collaborating with the regional utility company Entergy on this project. Entergy has requested the state commission to expedite the approval for the construction of three new gas turbine power plants to supply power to the data center
