On May 16th, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company announced agreements with several American energy companies, which are expected to secure USD 60 billion in American investments throughout the lifecycle of various energy projects in the UAE. The statement mentioned that the agreements include oil field development plans with Exxon Mobil and INPEX/JODCO, aimed at expanding the production capacity of the Abu Dhabi Upper Zakum offshore oil field through phased development. ADNOC also signed a cooperation agreement with Western oil companies to explore the expansion of natural gas production at the Shah gas field and accelerate the deployment of advanced technologies in that gas field
