Energy sector ETFs fell 1.3%, leading the decline among U.S. stock sector ETFs

On Monday (May 19), the energy sector ETF fell by 1.3%, while the regional bank ETF, bank sector ETF, consumer discretionary ETF, semiconductor ETF, technology sector ETF, internet stock index ETF, and global technology stock index ETF fell by up to 0.41%. The global airline industry ETF rose by 0.13%, and the consumer staples ETF, utilities ETF, healthcare ETF, and biotechnology index ETF rose by up to 1.11%. Among the 23 components of the S&P 500 energy sector, Phillips 66, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips led the decline with drops of 2.82% to 2.19%.
