Software company Autodesk (ADSK.US) announced an adjusted earnings per share of $2.29 for the first quarter, higher than the expected $2.15. First-quarter revenue increased by 15% year-on-year to $1.63 billion, exceeding the expected $1.61 billion.
The company expects adjusted earnings per share for the second quarter to be between $2.44 and $2.48, higher than the expected $2.34. Revenue is expected to be between $1.72 billion and $1.73 billion, also above expectations. As for the full-year performance, Autodesk anticipates adjusted earnings per share for the fiscal year to be between $9.50 and $9.73, while analysts expect $9.51.
