On May 24th, a social media influencer with 430,000 followers posted a video and text post titled "GIANT BIOGENE suspected of fraud: Reconstructed collagen cannot be detected!" On the evening of May 24th, the brand KefuMei under GIANT BIOGENE released a "Stern Statement - Notice to Consumers" on its official social media account. In the statement, KefuMei responded to the core issue: "At the first moment the incident occurred, we conducted tests on the relevant products according to the 'Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China' and other relevant industry standards, and multiple batches of test results showed that the collagen content was greater than 0.1%." Additionally, the account published a "Testing Report of Xi'an GIANT BIOGENE Technology Co., Ltd." which showed that on May 24th, five samples were taken to test for collagen content. The test results were 0.27%, 0.27%, and 0.28%, respectively. Furthermore, the statement mentioned that multiple authoritative third-party testing institutions have been commissioned to conduct further tests on the relevant products using various testing methods, and the results will be announced as soon as possible. Regarding the influencer's testing method, KefuMei responded: "It is not included in the relevant industry standards and has not undergone rigorous methodological validation. At the same time, the influencer has not requested the company for the raw materials of the reconstructed collagen."
